Il-Biljett (The Ticket).
SHORT FILM

The Buttigieg family home is decked for Christmas. MONICA (23) is helping her mother ROSEANNE (47) to set the dinner table. JEFFREY (49), Monica’s father, is sipping his third scotch of the day, lost in a football match. KEVIN (19), Monica’s brother, is in his room immersed in rock music and daydreams. JOE (77), Monica’s wheelchair-bound grandpa, is in his corner of the room, listening to Rossini whilst piecing together another jigsaw puzzle. From the moment that Monica's boyfriend MATTHEW (24) walks in, it is clear that not all is well behind the facade of amiability. A lottery ticket brings it all to the surface.
